Also get these calls several times a day caller Id says service dept. but they never leave a message and we know longer pick up the phone when we don't know who it is. If they leave a message it would make us think about maybe answering it the next time. We have been getting so many calls from this and others not sure if there is anything any of us can do.
Grateful for this site so we can know if we are the only ones or is it a scam; looks like scam to me!
These idiots called around 11:00 saying the FBI was reporting an increase in crime in my area......DUH! NOT!
We bought a DIGITONE phone call blocker which can block up to eighty numbers or area codes. We have only had it about a month and a half and have already used up 26 freaking area codes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first time they call, the call comes through, but never again! I just block the whole darn area code. And I can HARDLY wait not to have to get up 8-10 times a day during political campaigns for their asinine messages!
The sad thing is the DNCL is a total and complete farce. I diligently report each and every number. The heck with them. Apparently "sequestration" started YEARS ago with them!!!!
The call blocker came from AMAZON with free shipping, but cost ME money to protect MY home from not being invaded. I resent paying for my phone and the cost of a call blocker and paying taxes for the DNCL and having to put up with these illegal, rude, and time wasting phone calls! Don't you? These are our HOMES, people, and it is getting beyond ridiculous that we cannot take a nap or have peace and quiet when WE want to because these fraudsters disobey the law!!!!! Charities and politicians.....well, GUESS WHO ok'ed them to call!!!!!!
Unfortunately, you probably need to get a Digitone or some such similar apparatus. At first, I had to look up how to block an area code or number each and every time. Not now: Punch in 40 then the area code or number then * Done deal! But it is the principle of the thing. My dime, my home, my wants!
We also have a Digitone Call Blocker. Love it. Blocks up to 80 numbers and/or entire area codes. Agree that it's not right to have to spend $100 for what DNC is supposed to be doing for us but they are worthless. There hasn't been a day in over a year when we haven't been bothered by scammers.
