Got a call today from some young man- "Hi, are you the business owner ?"
me (warily):"yes, who is this?" male: "This is Trey, I'm an SEO analyst. How are you today?"
me (honestly): "frustrated. What's an SEO analyst?" male: "oh, why are you frustrated ?"
me: "Because you're being vague & evasive. What's this about?"
male: "well, YOU'RE being rude and obnoxious--" at which point I hung up on the [***].
tried calling back to talk to his employer, but the phone just rang about 12 times & then a recorded female voice said "No one is available to take your call."
I keep getting calls from this number over and over again...Never leave a message either. I just blocked the number on my iphone since they never stop calling.
Called and claimed they were from google analytics- trying to sell the business a spot so they can put the business under the category and that a spot has just (conveniently) opened up!
They knew my name too, so that's a bit sketch...but I looked the number and came here so my suspicions were on the mark. Good try sir
This is a scam, I called Google and they DO NOT charge for their business services. The problem is, Google doesn't care that there are multiple scammers out there using their good name in vain. So, block the number and report them to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.
