I keep getting calls from this number saying this is the Home Improvement and Remodeling Group. I did speak with a supervisor, Jeremy (has a very thick accent) who said George A Matthews is the president of the company.
He also told me they do now have a Do Not Call list. When I asked if they had a Do Not F'in Harass Me list, he told me yes. I've been telling these people to stop calling and will be changing my number by next week to stop these stupid harassment calls.
I definitely think this is a SCAM because if you call the number back, I get a recording that the number is no longer in service.
Wow. My call was from some guy in India who wanted to offer quotes for home improvements to a property I had listed for a former client 3 years ago. Not sure who sold him my info, but I could see really quick they obtained it from a prior real estate listing I had done for the client. They used my name and his property address.
I feel sorry for the guy who's coming to give me an estimate later - he'll have a LOT of explaining to do as to where he's getting his leads from.
My business partner is a sworn law enforcement officer for the county - we'll be GLAD to meet this goob!
The number that Habib was calling from - on call back shows as a disconnected/no longer in sservice number. Obviously a fake magic-jack type internet phone number where they can make the display say whatever they want.
Interesting that it also came up as being used by these police impersonator scammers as well.
