I called them back because I got so many calls...gave them my name, home and cell number...they checked my number and apparently my cell number used to belong to someone who has a debt...I cleared that up and they said they would take my number off their list.
they keep calling my business, saying that they are with the City of Eau Claire, WI. The caller never tells me that they are a debt collector, which is illegal. They never stated that they are trying to collect a debt when i asked what the call was in reference to, which is illegal.
She insisted that she was with the City of Eau Claire, and that my boss needs to call her back immediately.
Shady business, doing illegal work. Im reporting them to the BBB.

This number has been calling our land line for 4 or 5 years now. The calls come in spits and spurts. They get "intense" for 3 or 4 months then stop then start up again. They never leave a message
When I Googled the number years ago this and other scammer/debt collector sites came up. we have had the landline for literally 20 years and neither of us has any outstanding tickets NOR have either of us had any ticket for years and years.
We think one of my partners siblings gave our phone number when they got a ticket.
I have looked up myself and my partner on the state CCAP website and there is NOTHING concerning moving violation tickets, just regular court cases (ie. divorces and lawsuits and yes I did have a moving violation about 8 or 9 years ago and it does not show up) so contrary to what some have suggested above tickets may NOT show up on Wisconsin's CCAP website (it may be because they have dropped out of the system as per the law OR are dropped after a period of time after they are paid).
