I called them back because I got so many calls...gave them my name, home and cell number...they checked my number and apparently my cell number used to belong to someone who has a debt...I cleared that up and they said they would take my number off their list.
They left a message: "We are 'Professional Placement Services" ...Call us at 1-800-798-2861...". Professional Placement Services is a collection agency based in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and used by county and municipal courts among others. (See additional comments for 800-798-2861.)
They are a collection agency for the Wisconsin courts. Thing is their information is screwed. They are trying to collect a judgment from me that has been satisfied since 2004. First attempt at calling me they tried to get information from me (when I thought they were a placement agency). I told them I did not know who they were and was not interested. When I called back they admitted that they are a collection agency and provided me with the information I needed to discover the debt they are after is first off over 10 years old, and secondly had already been paid.
These people need to get a life. They called all afternoon and into Sunday evening and same thing old court case that had been satisfied years ago. I have told these people to go pound sand and get their records straight,but they still call so now I get rude until they hang up.
