Answered on the second ring and I said hello twice before hanging up.
I agree it must be a robo dialer that they are not attending to to beg for donations.
Calling back this number gives me a fax tone. I filed a compliant with the Do Not Call Registry today since I have gotten several calls from this number. However, this company has a lot of entries here over an extended period of time, so I wonder if filing a complaint will do any good. I'm hopeful, because this nonsense has to stop.
I baby-sit for a family member and while here I have been getting several calls from this number but never a response...until today. They finally said something when I answered.A guy asked if Ms.Smith** was in..and when I said no she was at work he asked if a Mr. Smith** was in. Without giving it any thought I automatically responded "he's in Iraq" I immediately got nothing but silence for about 5 seconds..then a dial tone.
I tried to do a callback to see where call came from, but got nothing but invalid number sounds.
Bein a very proud soldier's family, we don't always think about telling people he is overseas putting his life on the line everyday. Now however; after this call, I will be more cautious and will not divulge that info over the phone again. might leave family member still here too vulerable to predators!!! **Smith is not thier real name. I am erring on the side of caution now!
