These people call me every couple months. I always ask them to remove me from their call list, they never do. The last couple of callers have been down right rude and insulting. My wife has given money to them once in the past, so now I am forever on their list. The sad part is that I actually have friends that are volunteer firefighters, if I could donate money I would have very seriously considered giving it to them. But with these types of calls, I will never donate, nor will I allow my wife to donate again. I am going to call them tomorrow and complain along with sending letters of complaint. I will also be filing a complaint with the Department of Argiculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (nocall.wisconsin.gov).
I've had similar situation. They just called and hung up on me. I've donated in the past, and have asked them not to call me anymore, because I rotate my charity donations, and with the economy as it is, I cannot give to EVERYONE.
Hope you make progress on the Do Not Call issue.
Every night for the last 4-5 nights we have been gettign a call from this number ... they either hang up when we answer or a male voise says hello and then hangs up. When we call back it is either busy or we hear the sound of a fax machine
