"XXXX, the very second you hear this message, I need you or your attorney...yadiyadiyada. Does everyone in India or Pakistan have this same script for conning gullible Americans? Unfortunately, all of your private information has been sold to these scammers and they don't comply with American consumer law protection. My advice is to not answer, ignore and just shut them down. Maybe conference in the FBI so they can figure out where these yahoos are. I know it won't happen as they just move to a different phone number.
I just got 4 back to back calls so I finally answered and I could barely understand them. Couldn't give me any hard info as to what it was about but they said I owed a cash advance place 6xx.xx. I said I've never had a cash advance and asked when it was taken out. He said 3/6/maybe a year ago. He said I would be arrested and go to jail if I didn't pay. I told him I wasn't served due process and I wouldn't be arrested. He hung up on me. Surely a scam!
This number has been blowing my phone up with back to back calls numerous times a day. There have been some messages left, but I couldn't understand what the guy was saying until the message they just left. He said he was with the law firm and had my address and said that in 4-5 days I would be arrested because I hadn't called them back! Wow!!!!!
I just got a message from this number telling me or my attorny to call back. If I don't. "Good luck" it makes me so mad because I dealt with a similar case about 3 months ago. I don't know how the [***] do it.
I learned a very hard lesson today! I answered this call today! They claimed to be a law firm representing US cash services to collect 3 late payments. I have had an online loan that I paid off but I allowed the jerks to get me all upset so I believed that I still owed money! The woman that I was speaking with (Jennifer Smith) told me that the team of lawyers agreed to not take me to court if I took care of the debt right away! I am so neive and trusting that I went to Wal-Mart and purchased a Wal-mart debit card as I was told this would pay off my debt immediately! The amount was 648 and some change. Fortunately, these debit cards will only load 500.00 so when I attempted to purchase the second card for the rest of the amount my PIN number would not be accepted...Wal-mart could not process the second transaction! Then I called Jennifer back and gave her the number off of the 500.00 debit card and she asked me twice did I activate it! I still didn't catch on! What a fool I am!!! When I proceeded to purchase the second card again and try my PIN number again, my phone rings and it's my credit union calling me to let me know that a woman called posing to be me and said she needed to check the balance of her checking. This woman had my account number and SS number. Fortunately the person at the credit union that answered the phone knows me and knows my voice and started asking questions... The imposter hung up. I took the 500.00 debit card to the cashier to check the balance and it was 0.00! I didn't Activate that card but the scammers did and they got some of my hard earned teacher pay money!!! The credit union put a password on my account incase they or anyone else calls on my account again!!
Do not borrow money online! Don't trust the people that are calling you.... Take a few minutes to check out everything before you start giving money to thieves!!
