No need to even waste time. The recording is a machine because the scammers are offshore and can't fake a good American accent so they rely on the computer voice to be more convincing.

I wish the IRS would get on their case rather than waste their time auditing good tax paying citizens :)

I wish someone could shut them down.   Woke me and a sleeping baby even though I didn't answer, just got phony voice mail.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received this as a voice mail claiming to be IRS:
4152349729 it was an automated voice message.
"It's from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 415-234-9729. I repeat it's 415-234-9729. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care."
I called back and the gentlemen asked for me and said it was charges filed against me and did I want him to explain. I said what's the charges and then he hung up.

same message same number scam do not respond IRS contacts via mail not the phone and not with a fake recorded message
this is from a 3rd world lowlife caller probably bought the numbers from home depot or target scam.... warn neighbors and friends contact IRS with all info and do not give these scammers any info
