At 1015a, CT, on 4/3/15, a message was left on home answering machine. It was a female voice, an automated call claiming to be IRS agent Nicki Johnson. It stated that I or my attorney should call her back at 415-236-3638 and not to disregard the call.
Received a call today from 415-236-3638. Was left a voicemail that it was the IRS and needed to get back to them immediately! Long story short this is a scam. Please be aware of any phone calls that make these claims.
I received a message from 415-236-3638 saying it was an important message from IRS representative Nicky Johnson who needed to speak to me or someone from my "company" about my taxes. I called back but was disconnected immediately, and then thought to google the number.
On 4/10/2015 at 11:38am EST, I received a call from an automated female voice claiming to be IRS Officer Nicki Johnson. Stating that I should not disregard the call and to call back to avoid action against me. I suspected this to be a scam, so I looked up the number and found this site. So glad I did! I used one of the links from up above to locate the Treasury Dept site for reporting scams. http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml
It only took me a couple of minutes to fill out the Treasury Dept form. I would encourage others to do the same.
I just received a call from its number too claiming to be Nikki Johnson of the IRS. TOTAL SCAM BEWARE! The IRS would show up at your door before they call on serious tax penalties. For smaller penalties the IRS will send you a few letters before even calling you.
