Received this call and left a message saying to press 1 to speak to security department. I didn't call back since they left no information on who they were.
Recorded call said they were from HSBC bank and your Master Card was locked. Press one to be connected to their security dept. Have no such card. It's a scam.
I just got a call from this number on my WORK CELL!! Automated message identified themselves as HSBC Bank and said my debit card was locked and I needed to press 1 to connect to the Security Department. I hung up and immediately called HSBC 800 number to report that their name was being used in a fraud. I was told I was the 5th person so far to call, BUT this number is one of SEVERAL that people are being called from. So, it's not just this number. They turned it over to their Fraud Department. I also submitted a complaint on www.donotcall.gov because my numbers are on the donotcall list.
My daughter and I got calls on different cell phones on different days - said they were HSBC calling re: Master Card locked. Press 1 to be transferred. I hung up and called the # back - got voice mail from a hardware store in California. SCAM - I notified HSBC
