Like a number of other folks on this thread, also got a choppy recorded voice saying something about my mastercard being locked. Message was so broken I couldn't even tell what they wanted me to do. Clearly scamming going on here!
I received a call from this number on my cell phone. I only give out my cell phone numbers to family and friends only. Came up Bradley Clore 415-252-5625 San Francisco, CA. Call came in about 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Sunday, January 8 2011. Annoying and harassing call. If I get one more call from this number, I will go to the authorities.
I check online to see the number and it is associated with a Hardware Store in California.
Scam. Please beware of calls like this.
Also, my husband got a call on his cell (area code 302) came up and stated that it was HSBC and something wrong with the master card - it is locked. He immediately went online to check the bank statement and called the bank to inform them about this.
recd call 1/11 frm Belmont Hardware saying my cc is locked. tried calling back # from another phone, and of course, they are closed. SCAM am reporting them
