I had called SF General Hospital and left a message about a billing issue.  When they returned the call, this is the number that showed up on caller ID.

this one keeps on calling my google voice #... the recording keeps repeating "To access your messages, please enter extension and pound sign. To avoid further notification of these messages press star pound this is not experiential you have new messages. To access your messages, please enter extension and pound sign. To avoid further notification of these messages press star pound."

Hmmm.  interesting.  i just got a message from this number (didn't answer).  it was classical music.  kind've nice, actually.

my cell phone is in the 415 area code, just like the number, so it would have been a local call for them.

I tried this pound and star thing and had no such luck.  it keeps calling my office line which is at a university!  can someone help!

Yes, because it is the number of their main commutator  which distribute the extensions  to every department at the hospital
