I received a call from what appears to be the IRS phone number of 800 829-1040. It was from a Nicky Johnson wanting me to call her personal hotline at 415-363-0183 to resolve my tax issue.
They called saying they were from the irs . He said he was John Miller . He sounded like he was from India. He asked me to verify my social . I asked to tell me what he had and I would verify it. He hung up.
I received a phone call from this number stating that it was from the IRS, they claimed to be Mickie Johnson. The automated message told me to call this hotline back or my attorney. Through research online and double checking with the IRS I found that this was SCAM!!!!!!
A recorded message from Mickie Johnson of the IRS instructing me to call immediately or have my attorney call warning of an urgent matter. Obviously a scam as this is not IRS procedure.
