I received a call this morning on my cell and person spoke in broken english stating that I had won a $100 gift that could be used at Walmart or Target. They said I was a preferred customer. All they wanted was a $1.95 processing fee that could be charged to my credit or debit card. They verified my name, address city and state and zip. I refused to give them my cc information. They got rude and hung up.
Called me twice today. I picked up once. The person was speaking with a very bad accent trying to tell me that I won a gift card. Asked for my CC information. When I said I wasn;t gonna give him anything he started saying that I didn't have to pay, he just wanted to "verify" my CC infrmation. I am new to America and its hard for me to understand broken english so I figured he better call me back if its important lol So when he does I am going to tell him to f*** off.
This company called Sahr Deals wanted me to verify my cc info. After telling them I wasn't going to verify anything he got very rude with me and told me he was going to charge anyway. After arguing for 10 mins I hung up the phone on him and called my bank right away. They did charge me $2 and had to freeze my account. My bank took an extra step, refunded my money and they are now being investigated for fraud. I never authorized anything and I don't know how they got my info. If they call back the magic words for telemarketers: 'Take me off your calling list' Then they are not legally allowed to call you back!
Yes, the idot is someone who came from India and he is so very rude and has called my cell phone over 4 times in one day and has been calling for days and calls very early and very late. I even called the phone company to find out who the person is and they had no clue, thanks alot 411.
*********Warning ************if you have any children and they have a cell phone beware. When a young person answers their cell phone and says my name is "Sam",or what ever your child's name is----- then the idiot/telemarketer guy remembers the name and will call back asking for the person by their first name.
I know this because I have been answering my son's cell phone and the guy asked for my son by his name. I know it is the same idiot calling due to his number shows up on the cell phone.
So, make sure to tell your children not to give out any information at all to anyone on the phone.
