Automated caller, Nicki Johnson from the IRS said I needed to call right away to avoid an issue. Not a valid number for the IRS as far as I can tell.

This number called me and left a message. Said it was IRS and I should not ignore this message or action will be taken. The funny part is the woman tried to sound like a digital, auto message like a GPS voice and then at the end said "Good bye and take care." I aint falling for it!
Got this call this morning, basically the same thing everyone has been posting above from a Nicki Johnson. I always google a number that I don't know, especially with one asking for my money. I have to admit that I was a little scared by this, but I'm glad that I google'd this before I did anything. I just hope that someone does something about this as I did report the number.
I received the same 'tax' call, but this isn't the first time I've received some-type of scam call - I've gotten calls that say I've been identified as smuggling illegal drugs and I'm going to be arrested unless I "go to western union ASAP and send them the fine money and then they will lift my arrest warrant".
First of all, I've never done anything illegal in my life and my taxes have always been current. Not to mention the most important point here -- THAT IS NOT HOW LEGIT LAW ENFORCEMENT OR IRS WORKS!
So, when I started receiving these calls I'd just be an inquisitive person saying "oh really, what did I smuggle? What city and county is my arrest warrant in? Oh really? then why are YOU calling me from another state and county? Etc etc"
They'd ALWAYS hang up!
Then I started getting cocky and when they'd call (I never answer a number I don't recognize), I'd call them back and they'd start their whole scam about how much trouble I'm in and I'd start saying crap back like oh really? I'm recording this call right now for the authorities and how dare you pose as the...." And they'd never let me finish - they always always always immediately hang up!!
So just keep reporting these and pray for the poor souls who DO fall for this.
Got a phone call (automated) from Officer Nicky Johnson with th I.R.S. Stating I owe money for back taxes and sheriff has warrant for my arrest.Please "DON'T MAKE US SEND THE SHERIFF" This involves a serious problem. Act right away.
