Automated caller, Nicki Johnson from the IRS said I needed to call right away to avoid an issue. Not a valid number for the IRS as far as I can tell.

number called. In played along. Told them my husband worked for the irs. They continued. Funny enough. Again I played along. Then I said I would give them a credit card. Gave them a fake number. Never heard back. Beware!!!
Hi. My husband and I just called the supposed IRS! What a joke!! The Indian dude was actually laughing at my questions and called me a fool! I told him saying "you are the fool!!". Preying on innocent US citizens!! What an insult!! I hope and pray these fools are going 2 be arrested for impersonating the IRS. I'm reporting them Monday 2 the real IRS!! Please people DO NOT give them cash or personal info!!
I got the same message. I got scare too. I was about to call, but wait it's Saturday. I don't have any problem with IRS. So I google .. And find out there are a lot of people got this message. Thanks for posting.
Got a call a few minutes ago. Robotic female. First off, did not say my name just don't ignore this call it could lead to more legal action. I do not live in CA, and I know that any bills or issues with the IRS are MAILED to the address you have on file when you file your taxes. I hope no one falls for this. I never answer unknown calls and when I get one I block it if it's bogus, after looking it up on here. I have to admit though, it did make my heart jump when I heard IRS. UGH.
Received the same call today. I ignored it and let it go to voicemail. The same message as everyone else has noted was left. I'll just ignore this and move on with my day. I have owed money in the past and I was never contacted via the phone let alone an automated voicemail. If it's not in writing....it's not legal.
