I received a message, addressing me by name, on my answering machine from someone who identified herself as Danielle at Central Payment Corporation, that they received my resume for the Account Executive position (I did NOT send my resume to this company) and asking me to call back that number, extension 7417 or to just ask for Danielle.
Sounds like some kind of scam to me, so I did some more investigating online.
I received a call from this number but they did not leave a message on my cell. I have also received e-mails also.
I called back within 5 minutes and no one would answer.
I dont understand why they would be calling, I always pay my bills on time and have a great credit score.
B- I had the exact same scenario happen last week, although the person may not have been Danielle. The message left was that they had received my resume for the Account Executive position. I knew it was suspicious from the beginning because A) They never stated if it was for me or my wife (we both work) B) I never sent my resume to them and C) even on the chance they got my resume from Monster.com or CareerBuilder.com, I'm a software developer and that didn't even fit the position I would have applied for.
