I have also been receiving strange calls from this phone number, as well as an odd e-mail. It was clear immediately by the type of position and info contained in the e-mail that this is not a position that I would have applied for. My resume IS posted on a few job boards so I checked each board I am registered on: 1) There is no job posting or even company profile listed from this company on any job board I searched. 2) I did NOT solicit my resume to this company for a job posting. 3) And, I could not have; considering no such exists. 4) With ONE simple Google search of the phone number (415) 462-8335 I discovered within seconds this company is a fraud! 5) Within the text of the e-mail (which I have pasted at the end of this post) Central Credit Corporation states they are sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, which I currently work for. I sent this posting to a generic human resources e-mail listed on the main contact page of WellsFargo.com and received a response within a couple of hours that they are aware of the claims made by Central Credit Corporation and are currently taking action.
Aside from the board you are currently looking at:
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-415-462-8335
These 2 pages:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/197/ripoff0197195.htm
http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Calls.aspx/4
These pages show that this company is definitely not "recruiting" for what they say they are. It is obvious the posts from "ex" and "current employees" are completely fabricated.
Most importantly and aggreviously; The Better Business Bureau's official website is www.bbb.com. There is NO listing for Central Credit Corporation, however, there are several complaints lodged against them. They certainly don't lack conviction; as here is a link to a manufactured webpage linked from the Google reverse look-up:

Unbelievable!

Hello xxxxx,
My name is Debra Sanchez with the Central Payment Corporation Human Resource Department. I was reviewing the resume you submitted and also wanted to inform you Central Payment Corporation is a leader in the merchant bankcard industry.
We are based out of Larkspur, CA, and are sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank. The
reason for this e-mail is to find out what your interest level may be in
regards to a potential outside sales position with our organization. We are
looking for Account Executives to go business to business to market our
services. The income potential is high due to the lack of representation our
company currently has in your area. Any business is a potential client. What
separates us is we offer competitive rates. This position can be part time
or full time. There are no quotas you have to meet and you will have an open
territory, so you can sell anywhere you like. Commissions are paid within
24-48 hours, plus 50% residuals, and we also offer weekly and monthly bonus
plans. There are no investments or out of pocket expenses. We set you up
with all of your marketing materials, applications, brochures, business
cards, etc.
