Got a call from this guy, gave his name and said he was from Wells Fargo; asked for my husband; and when I said ?wells fargo? what is this in reference to, he hung up; its the same outfit that has been calling from Arizona or somewhere; on the caller ID it said San Raphael California. Im so tired of this crap the last time one called I told him the company had been reported to the FBI and the conversation was recorded.
A jerk called for my husband, by his first name, like they were old high school buddies, and I told him that he was at work. So he proceeded to ask if the homeowner was available, I said "speaking." He then proceeded to tell me that on Saturday we tried to refinance our home, which was not true, we bought a new vehicle. I am assuming that when they ran our credit check it sent all those "wonderful" solicitors our infomation. I informed him that his information was inaccurate, without giving him any detail, because it was none of his business and told him that we were not interested and we were on the "national do not call list". He had the nerve to tell me that he would call back later, when "Todd" the man of the house was home and hung up on me. Immediately, I checked caller ID and wrote down the number and called back and the number that showes up on caller ID is not even a working number. I called the operator and spoke with her. She said that it is common for businesses to use non-working numbers for their caller ID number. If you call 1-415-491-4937 listen to what the recording tells you. This should not be allowed and should be illegal! We are very tired of the unwanted calls. We will just keep reporting them to the "do not call" line (1-888-382-1222 *great way to keep from getting unwanted calls usually)until they realize we are registered and we are costing them money.
