Received an call from 415-491-4937. The guy said he was from Assurity Mortgage and knew I was trying to refinance my home, which is not true and I told him so. He said I must have because several lenders had run my credit. When I said no, he was wrong he started using profanity about these "M-F's" and that he would call these "B's", etc. At that point I hung up. I did notice this number tried to call earlier today as well, but I was on another call.
An extremely rude man called from this number. He called me by my first name in that over-the-top, insincere friendly way that some sales people use and commented that he knew I was refinancing. I don't recall company name or person's name as I was instantly uninterested. I told him that I was not refinancing but purchasing a property. To which he imitated my acccent and started mocking me and carried on doing so after I told him that he was possibly the worse salesman in the world and that there was no need for sarcasm. I then told him to **** off (unfortunatey lowering myself to his base level of communication) and hung up. I will continue with my general rule of not answering any calls that I do not recognize. Called the number back and it has been disconnected. How do these people manage to get all our info, call and harrass us and then can't be located? It's awful and highly annoying and I don't want these types of people and calls made to my home.
Received a very rude call from someone named Steve who said he was looking for my father. When I said he was not available, Steve proceeded say he couldn't understand me and ask again. He then said I have a thick accent (which I don't have at all, I am from Pennsylvania...) and asked me whether it was a Spanish or Gay accent. I asked again who was calling and he said he as from the grocery store.... I hung up.
After some quick research I found out the number is from San Rafael, CA. I used the yellow pages and there is only one Telemarketer in San Rafael proper. So I think the calls may be coming from DeRosa communications, www.derosa.com. I suggest everybody call to complain.
The guy called my house saying that my wife wanted to refinance our home loan. He said that he was with wells fargo. This is complete bullsh@#, do NOT give these people any info. This is a major scam!!!!!!!!!!!!
said he was from greentree mortage co. i asked him where he received my credit score from he replied none of your business. i then asked to speak with his boss he laughed and said he could not help me. he then proceeded to read me the last four digits of my social and how he was going to sell it. he then read my street address off to me. when i started to question these things he then began to act as if i was speaking with an accent. he then began to call me all kinds of names. he then ended the conversation with...I WILL BE AT YOUR HOUSE IN 20
MINUTES. i then contacted the phone company who told me how to trace phone calls. i also contacted the state attorney general & i will be contacting the police.
