what I generally do is pick up & immediately hang up as I've heard that w/some of these solcitation tele marketing programs/protocols that if you do this they will begin to call less & less & then over time stop calling all together.....as opposed to never answering & always allowing the call to go into voicemail...for which they never leave a message anyhow.
try it & see what happens....been working for me anyway.
They called, I answered and said "Hello" twice, and the caller said nothing. I waited nearly a minute, and then the caller finally hung up, having said nothing. Very odd business model. ;)
I'm registered with the federal do-not-call program too.

These forums are strictly for call recipients to share their findings. They are NOT direct open channels to the phone bank boiler rooms we comment upon. The magic phrase you want for sales calls is "Put me *on* your Do Not Call list".
Many calls from these scammers. Watch out. Someone stays on the line but won't talk. Don't ever leave personal or business information unless you want to be hounded by others as well-many calls in the last two weeks from this idiots.
