Received call from US Treasury or so he said, told him I had surgery and was on pain meds and could not talk, said he would call back.
Now I know it is a scam as I have verified on web.
Also received similar meassage from 626-692-7835 advsing of the matter and not to get my attorney involved, because it would mean a legal mess for me. Pretty much know its a scam whern they advise you not to have your attorney call them. Not really how it is done in the US. Go bug someone else!
Says his name is Mark Johnson and it would be in my best interest to return the call promptly. A verbal warning, yea not really how it is done in the US.
Just got a call from someone named Mark Johnson from 415-506-2414 saying he is an agent for the US Treasury Office and I need to talk to an "officer" about a legal action. He also advised against me calling my attorney.
Received lengthy message regarding "pending legal action," or something similar. Followed the format of previous posting but almost impossible to understand through the thick accent. Sounded like an Asian call center. Probably a spoofed number as well. Too add insult to attempted injury they mispronounced my last name (which is single syllable and very straightforward if you know English at all).
Recieved a call wanting to talk to my daughter who has not used our address in approx. 1 yr. Caller stated he needed to speak to her about "Law Enforcement Action" against her. He claimed to be representing A Frank Stanley with the treasury Department. Have refered this to Law Enforcemnet, hope they catch his little Pakistani behind. 415-506-2414 call him for fun!
