DO NOT ANSWER PHONE....DO NOT CALL BACK....THEY DON'T CARE..
THEY ARE FISHING FOR VIABLE PHONE NUMBERS AND WHEN YOU ANSWER THAT JUST VERIFIES YOU OWN THE PHONE......DON'T PRESS "1". Either . That lets them get more info....they then sell your number to other companies and you wind up getting more calls. It's annoying for sure but just let it ring, after awhile calls will decrease....I only get maybe 3 a week. Now...just steel yourself, don't answer, check your caller ID. Most of the time they are robocalls....why do you think most don't speak.....they just want viable numbers which you give them when you answer or call back.
Called on August 2, 2013 at 6:49pm ET. Called my home phone. Caller ID showed caller's name as "California Call". Did not recognize number as a business I deal with and I don't know anyone living in California so I did not answer call. My phone number is registered with my State's Do Not Call Registry and the Federal Do Not Call Registry. These kinds of scammers could care less your number is listed as "Do Not Call". I'm amazed people answer calls from out-of-state callers they do not know and do not have any business dealings with. People should only answer call if they recognize the number as a friend of theirs or a company they are familiar with such as their employer or a company they buy services from, otherwise never answer the phone.
