The caller was an Indian man with an extremely heavy accent calling from 415-685-8905 which is based in San Francisco. I could barely understand him, but he said he was from the Department of Legal Affairs, and that we needed to contact him right away or have an attorney do it, as we would be in a lot of trouble if we did not. This was identical to another call we got about a month ago from another Indian man saying he was from the U.S. Treasury Department who used the same tactic. I don't answer calls unless I recognize the number, so I did nothing.
Got a call from someone with (hard to understand) accent. Left a message saying to call Steven at the Dept of Legal Affairs of U.S. Treasury at 415-685-8905. Apparently some legal action was about to be taken against us unless we called back.
We received a call from 'Alan Brown' at the Department of Legal Affairs regarding 'enforcement actions' that had begun against us. We were advised to return the call (we did not) and if we did not to 'retain an attorney'. He 'hoped we would do the right thing' and call him.
Very asian accent. Lots of background noise, like calling from a call center environment. 415-685-8905
Recd a call from what they said was legal matter for my daughter. Left a phone number of 4156858905 to call back Andy Parker. He said that he had been sending notices at home address( which I have never recd). I think bogus.
Got a voicemail from Marcus (heavy accent) claiming to be with the Department of Legal Affairs and indicating that my husband's attorney should call back to this number (415-685-8905). Scam.
I received a call from this heavy accent guy telling me that they have legal matter against me. He said its from IRS, then he said its from Treasury Office. A total scam and fraud. Please do not entertain such call.
