The caller was an Indian man with an extremely heavy accent calling from 415-685-8905 which is based in San Francisco. I could barely understand him, but he said he was from the Department of Legal Affairs, and that we needed to contact him right away or have an attorney do it, as we would be in a lot of trouble if we did not. This was identical to another call we got about a month ago from another Indian man saying he was from the U.S. Treasury Department who used the same tactic. I don't answer calls unless I recognize the number, so I did nothing.
I got a call from Andy Parker, a guy with a heavy thick accent. Couldn't understand half of what he said. How ashamed should these guys be of themselves? All that time and energy to scam people! I reported it to the IRS scam line.

i received the same, first call was almost two months ago, he was from the U.S. Treasury Dept., saying they were going to arrest my husband. I asked what I could do to prevent that, he said to pay x amount and it wouldn't happen. I told him yes o can pay that but let me contact my husband to make sure we had the funds available. Within five seconds we were disconnected. Today I had the 415-685-8905 number come up on my caller ID, called back tonight, a recording stating they are the U.S. Treasury Dept. I am so sick and tired of these people and scammers in general! Is the U.S? Government doing anything about this kind of crap?
