I got a call from this # on Sat @ 4am. They left an auto recorded message saying they were the IRS. I called back at 6:50AM on a Saturday and someone that sounded like they were in a call center in India answered. She asked for my name which I gave then she proceded to tell me that my taxes were not paid in full and that I was being audited for 2006-2011 for unpaid taxes. When I tried to talk she got upset and said "can I please finish"..which made me realize that she was reading a script and was not that great at improv. I let her talk..then at the end of her scary story of all the $ I owe them.. I told her what the hell are you talking about? I dont owe taxes. She asked me why. I said " I have never made enough $ to have to pay taxes and I have 4 kids! She said.. Oh let me call you back. If she call's back I'm going to start speaking Punjabi to her.
These number has been calling my house and leaving messages for the past few weeks. So today I decided to cal back, again, and again, and again. When they finally spoke to me I told them they were full of [***] and to stop trying to scam people. The man with an Indian accent said, "Why you curse at me?" And I told him that I knew what he was up to and to stop calling my house and leaving messages. I called off and on for a few hours but was put to voice mail. I called again these evening and acted like I was from the IRS and told him that he needed to get a lawyer, after which he hung up on me. I called back and a female answered, who also hung up on me. On my last call I asked the guy how if felt to be harassed with nonsense phone calls. He responded by saying that now he was really gonna start harassing me. I told him to bring it on, and to eat [***] and die. I am unsure how these guys are generating a revenue stream, but it seems to be a simple operation as only the same two people ever answer the phone. I'll probably never call back, as long as they never call me again.
Received a call as a robocall - as a IRS agent. I strongly believe this call is been generated from India because their accent was from west part of India.
