Got 2 calls from this number concerning a court case and 3 complaints against my mother. No other information. Not who they are or who is filing the complaint. My mom's been dead 5 years and had moved out of California a year and a half before that. Something isn't right with these calls. I talked to two different people who hung up on me when I started questioning them.
I gave my Dad the number and the info I'd gotten. Got a call from Dad in the middle of typing this. He called them and found they were trying to collect on a payday loan my mother had taken out. Mom had never taken a payday loan out. Something rotten is definitely up.
Called both my cell and home number multiple times. Also called my sister looking for me. Have also called my parents and another sister of mine, but were looking for them specifically. They had an old address and email from over 10yr ago. Also had the last 4 of my social.
The woman said I owed on an outstanding payday loan. When I said I never had took one out she said someone must be using my info and that I could either pay or go to court.
I foolishly gave her a working email address my family uses. She gave me a name and number.
