I have been going back and forth with her for a couple of weeks! I have a cleaning business. She initially contacted me thanking me for responding to her Craigslist ad....which I never did...she wrote me.
Anyway, she is also telling me she is on a business trip and cannot make a phone call. (She is texting me this)
Anyway, she has asked me to buy her cleaning supplies ect. and her and her family will be moving in on Monday, which she just told me about today. Anyway, She also sent a check to cover these supplies. I got it today. She informed me last week, after her husband had the check sent that the banker made a mistake; instead of making 2 checks, one to me and one to their shipping company, the banker mistakenly put ful entire amount in one check...to me. Now she is asking me to meet the shipping company at their new apartment on Wednesday to pay them their half! I told her that I feel uncomfortable doing that. Isaid that I don't want to be responsible for paying her shipping company. I could go on and on. I have at least 30 emails going back and forth with this person.
What a waste of time. I should have checked her out earlier. Laci, could you share more about your experience?
What a strange scam! I guess I don't really understand what they would get out of this deal.
She is currently begging me to deposit this check.
I recieved the same chech with the instructions to pay the movers, this is the biggest and worst scam i have ever seen,. They are not clever at all. I picked up this scam instantly. Becareful out there.
