These Indian/Pakistani thieves called our number at 9:30 am on Good Friday. They left a message, which is unusual, threatening us with action from the irs if we don't respond to this call.
We spend so much money for our government to diddle in other countries, for once, I'd like to see our law enforcement people to go after the thieves who constantly scheme to steal from us. Go after the phone companies who allow them access as "phone hobbiests". It's a felony to impersonate a federal officer, so charge the phone company with assisting in a felony...just my take
So glad we have these sites! Got a call today and honestly did get a little nervous - we had a less than normal tax year, and thought we did everything correctly, but always worry maybe we did something wrong, since it was not the norm for us. Because of this, I did try to call back but got a busy signal - first sign of a scam (even if I did get someone I have a feeling I would have figured out a scam pretty quickly). Went to google the number right away and found all this info.
