The recorded message said they "have received a complaint (about me)" and if I "want to know the nature of the complaint call 866-xxx-xxx or press 9" my complaint # is xxxxxxx. Very strange. I did not call.
Total scam. If you were going to be the subject of a subpoena, then you'd be aware of an ongoing legal despite. There'd be a paper trail. You wouldn't near about it form some scammery debt collector. Ignore the calls and block them.
i and my husband both got this call from sanfrancisco Bay Area. Left message said a complaint had been filed. Called and gave them a complaint number and she said it was from some finance company I had never heard of? Told her I never heard of it she said good luck in court and hung up on me!!
Got a call this morning from this number.... says I have outstanding balance. A recording. Knew my name.... I looked up the number online.... Read all this information.... Called them back and they were asking for all kinds of information.... I knew I didn't owe anybody. I told her I looked your number up online. She says " well you know what this is then" and hung up on me..... LOL.... scam
