same thing as the others I have gotten this same woman/June Smith/IRS call before that they are taking action...everyone knows the IRS NEVER calls I have blocked the different numbers but today they have a new one 415-829-9423 which I promptly blocked same voice same recording same threat, I wonder does this really work for them?????
If it's on your cell, it's easy to block the number. That's how this number contacted me. Landline, not so sure. Report them
to the FBI, as someone else said, the elderly and the not so intelligent can be easily scammed by a-holes like this.
Landlines are just as easy. You can use your carrier's service if they have one, and a lot do. You can get call blocking telephones, or stand alone call blockers by looking on the web at places such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, etc.
I just received a call from this number as well. I have received many of these over the past year. The voice is not that of a human, more like synthesized. Just like Marie said, why would they threaten you and they say "Goodbye and Take Care".
Basically, if somebody is asking you for you personal information (SSN, DOB, etc), or with such calls as we have recieved, it's bogus. No Government Agency, Bank, Courts, will contact you by phone. You will always get an official letter and a legitimate number to call.
They called today and it is confirmed that these numbers are originating from India or persons with Indian origin. They started cursing in Hindi when i informed them that the numbers have been reported to IRS
