It seems that number isn't reachable anymore? At least not when you hide your called ID. My buddy has been trying, but he gets a "Number not in service" message.
You know what's ironical here? THEY don't want to be bothered by US!
This number called me home at at 715 am.... I realized it was a scam when the man told me I was to be arrested in one hour if I did not pay my irs bill via pre-paid bank card bought by Walmart. The IRS in fact one - does not ever collect money over the phone, it is on line or via bank check in the and also the irs will full provide and agent Id, and will never ever not provide with in full detail questions ask ie name of employee, employee address and your date of birth....
The night of December 9, when I got home around 6:45ish I got a call from a Mark Wilson (with heavy Indian accent) claiming to be the Investigation department of IRS. Warned me not to ignore the call to avoid court proceedings.

Received a call at 11:00 am PST. The guy said he is an IRS agent and his name is Mark Wilson, claiming my tax calculation is wrong and I need to call 415-843-1151 to talk to his senior officer John Anderson, and if I ignore his request there would be a legal action. He gave me his ID number (1077-737-5850) but would not gave me his address. Clearly a scam!
Called at 7am this morning - a Saturday morning. Called on our home phone which we do not answer. Left message very similar to all that have reported above. The Indian accent with the American name was a big red flag! Also, the fact that the number calling showed nothing about being from the IRS on the caller ID.
I left one comment already. I called Mill Valley police dept 415-389-4100 and they did not want to be bothered. There must be a reason this caller can harass so many people. My bet is on the government. CIA hires zillions (well lots) of people to harass people with foreign sounding names. It's like trolls on twitter. It gives them something to do to pay their minions for standing around & they have all the money they can print. The cops are overlooking this for some reason. If they got enough calls to Mill Valley PD they might do something. It is not a logical scam because they obviously are not going to get money out of anybody with something this lame & they threaten people. There is some incentive for this harassment. My bet is our loving government
