Actually I think that it is 3 years after the last payment if there is no further activity on the account.
A company actually tried to collect after 14 years from one of my relatives...doubled the original debt, wouldn't
provide any documentation, threatened jail time..you name it. Of course, I put a stop to it.
Don't ever provide documentation, or data to these criminals.
This number called today. I believe they called a couple of weeks ago but I never answered and they never leave a message. So today i decided to return the call and a guy picks up and says the line is recorded and proceded to ask for somebody with my last name but the first name was incorrect. I did not attempt to correct him either. He sounded kinda nervous and then asked for the last 4 digits of my phone number so that he can block my number.... I asked what company he worked for and he hung up. i really dont know what to make of this.
Pinnacles Services attempting to collect a debt.. Calls numerous times and never leaves a voicemail. I finally called back to find out what it is. Trying to collect a Verizon debt from over ten years ago! Informed them they had no legal recourse to sue me for the debt nor could they report it to my credit as it was time barred in CA and to remove my number and not call me any further as I would not be paying it.... They just wanted my current address and the fact that they had my maiden name and not married name (I've been married for over seven years!).

FINALLY, I managed to get through to a CUSTOMER SERVICE HUMANOID to let them know I was NOT the person they wanted. AND, In Fact, that only my FIRST NAME was in any connected to this person.
I mean, is a common first name like "DEBBIE" close enough to harass me for WEEKS! Geez, I'm tempted to KICKSTARTER her debt to pay off these IDIOTS!
