IRS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. All contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

Same Julie Smith message. called back using caller id. now reached Indian sounding person, had my name, said his was Senior Agent Mike Larry with investigative dept of IRS. Said warrant was being issued for my arrest and wanted my criminal attorneys number so he could bail me out. recited long list of what would happen to me and how my life would be ruined. said I was accused of violation od IRS code and income tax fraud with a dollar amount that I owed. said had sent certified letters but they were returned. I repeatedly called the number back. The guy finally answered and told me that he wasn't a good person. He said that the number was a CA # but he wasn't in CA. He asked for my name but wouldn't give it. Criminal written all over him. The phone # is 1-415-852-9235.
