Said same exact thing!!! David Murphy...SCAM! Said they were going to arrest me if i didn't pay. And my phone tapped! Ha Ha Ha! Joke is on u David Murphy!! His answering machine is 818-945-1953...maybe we just need to call him and harass him!! No more weight loss pills...didn't work anyway..was probably sheet rock dust! And bought these about 5 yrs ago. When I told them not to ever call me again over and over..I guess they use this scam to get you to pick up the phone!
Got a call from a "special agent David Murphy" from the DEA saying I had a warrant out for my arrest and a search warrant was issued for buying weight loss pills from the Dominican Republic over the internet that ended up being illegal cause they were filled with cocaine and cops were going to get me @ my work. Funny, didn't know the DEA gives you advance warning of your arrest over the phone. This scammer appears to have a new number and a new federal agency they are impersonating.
Mr. Murphy is at it again. He tried it on me a few weeks ago with the name of Thomas Harrigan. He used the phone number 323-319-6248. One of these times I'm going to play along and try to get to the place where I can send my "fine" so I won't be arrested. Does anyone fall for this? If people were internet savvy enough to buy drugs, wouldn't they also cross-check the DEA's phone number?
He also has the most boring pitch of any of the fake FDA/DEA guys.
Got a call from Special Agent David Murphy, DEA San Francisco/North Bay Area......he stated he needed to ask me some ??? about an ongoing investigation and could I please call him back!!! Please do something about this person!!! Apparently I'm not the only one be harassed!!!!
He left a message on my work phone this morning... I'm considering calling him back and telling him I'M with thde FBI and HE's being arrested for impersinating a DEA officer! Does anyone think it would help?
THIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money or personal info for fictitious crimes.
