These people are criminals. If they think that they are not being traced, then they are fools. Everyone leaves a virtual footprint that can be traced back. Unfortunately, there are so many scumbags out there in the world today, that law enforcement task forces can only take on so many at a time. Yes, scumbag criminals - you will eventually be caught.
This robo number called me again but this time at work so I decided to press 1 and talk to them. A girl answered and said she was from Reliant and asked me my name and said that I hadn't paid for a payday loan from 2012, I asked her what the company name was and she said some name I had never heard of and she made a comment about there being many umbrellas that the company is under. I told her I would like to see something in writing and mailed to me, she said she could email it but I told her I needed it mailed to me, it was my right to see it and determine if I really did get the loan. She tried to tell me that it was only my right if it was during the collection phase. Then she asked if I could hold for a minute. I was on hold for awhile then she came back and asked who I was holding for and I told her that she had put me on hold. She said "Oh, hold again", I was on hold for a while longer and she came back and asked who I was holding for, I told her she put me on hold and she hung up on me. What idiots.!!! I guess things are going to go to litigation without info from me because I wasn't very cooperative...LOL. I sure hope people don't fall for it.
Their tactic us to harass and threaten to get people to pay on false debt claims, since they cannot go after them legally. Ignore and dismiss all calls from these criminals.
I heard on a radio program the other day that new legislation is in the works where not only can these dirty pigs be sued for harassment and false claims, but that they can also be given prison sentences. And, this is not just for the scummy owner, the actual caller who makes the call will be tried as well.
