Yes, and ISIS uses extortion scams to fund their operations. I would venture to guess that scams such as these are operating from right inside our own shores. They will be caught and prosecuted.

These people are calling my work number 3 or 4 times a day even though I have asked them to stop calling me at my work saying they have a civil claim against me but refuse to give any details.

I have done some interesting research on this company. THe company is traced back to a Durand Davis, some make shift ghetto thug trying to pass himself off as "corporate" of all things. LOL you'll see what I mean when you look at the links. So here's the deal. I called this number back and asked for a website link. They told me their website is Reliance Group and they are operated by a  Duránd Fránçiscus Davis JR. The site had a youtube video under the "About Us Page" which leads to a "Corporate" Davis also known as Durand Davis out of Michigan. The man even has youtube videos detailing how to run various scam companies under multiple names.

The funny thing is when I called from other numbers the automated message went from scary litigation /civil lawsuit debt collection agency to an automated voice message telling me I had won a free vacation and all I needed to pay was $100. LOL

This phone number is a VOIP number traced to bandwidth.com. I called the number back, and they told me I owed a payday loan debt which I had paid off years ago. They use very threatening trigger words like "litigation" and "civil lawsuit" and start screaming and yelling into the phone when I ask for more information about their company. I hang up and call back and they reluctantly give me a website http://reliancexchange.com/about-us.html. Scroll down to the bottom and you see a Youtube video showing you the person behind this scam company. You see his face and he gives his real name. Durand Davis JR out of Michigan supposedly. It seems this person has a long history of creating fake companies to get people's money.

A youtube video was posted on one of the company websites as their own commercial, identifying an individual as the owner of the company.
