They are back it. These guys and the one claiming to be from department of treasury legal dept. Never give out personal info on a call not originated by yourself. Scammers are everywhere.
This is an unsolicited call where a recording tells you that they are calling in regard to the standing of your credit card (they make it sound like it is customer service of a given credit card company, but never identify themselves by name). They also say they have a promotion to 'help' you lower the interest rate on your credit card, and then instruct you to push '1' to speak to someone about it. I did this in order to speak to a live person. When I told them that I did not want unsolicited calls to my phone and to take me off their list, the woman (who had a distinct Indian accent) hung up on me. Scam? YES.
