I received a call stating my computer is sending error messages. I hung up on him. He called back and asked me why I hung up. I couldn't understand him. Heavy Indian accent. Poor sound quality. He became very agitated which I thought was comical. Yes, I actually laughed. He became more agitated. I asked who he was. All he said was he called to help me with my computer. I disconnected the call once again. Every time he called back a different number showed up or unavailable. I have active antivirus and a secure network. These idiots think they can bully you. I assure you he called the wrong person. Consumers beware they are out there and stop at nothing to get your information. Please be smart about the type of information you give out. If there's any question as to the validity of the call, call the bank, vendor, etc. directly.
These people do not give up! The continue to call even though I demand an ip address where the supposed error report is being sent from. They can not provide. They say they know my computer is having a problem because of a control number and my licensing agreement with windows. When i complained that I could not understand what the person was saying the phone was handed off to another person with an accent although not as heavy. They wanted me to run a program - probably to gain remote access. Everytime I asked a question they would talk over me saying I needed to fix my computer and they were trying to help me do that. When I refused to run the program the guy said we will just cut off access. Oh well I dont need access to what they are scamming! Called number back and it is for One Click. They have a recording saying they had to change their phone number because of malicious solicitors falsely using their number.
