While I also find them annoying?? Each of you complaining at some point, went out there and looked for health insurance. You put your phone number out there...so that's why they are calling. Same thing happened to me. This is not unsolicited or in any way illegal..you gave them your telephone number. What I did do was say 'yes' to the recording that I wanted to speak to someone about health insurance (I looked for insurance LAST YEAR!!) when the employee came on the line, I made myself very clear that if they did not remove my number, I would file a complaint and they would be fined, since I now have asked them to stop calling. Haven't received a call since that day! However, the next best solution?? Simply don't answer the call!
This number began calling 8/17/2015 and has really stepped it up over the past week by calling at least 4 but up to 7 times per day. Interesting correlation I've found is that and oldie but goodie caller, 501-613-0167 (an Indian pharmacy claiming to be a Canadian pharmacy who has been calling me since 3/28/2014 trying to sell Viagra) has also been calling within 30 minutes of this number since the onslaught began in earnest a week ago (on the nose: 30 minutes after one call, the other number calls...rinse, repeat). My guess is they are related. I have not visited any health care website, including the ACA site, have not been planning a trip to Brazil and have not provided my number to ANY web site. So, any worries that these schmucks are using Obamacare information or travel site information is unfounded. The odds are that, like these Indian pharmacies, they bought your number from another scummy telemarketer or are simply using a robodialer and if they aren't met with a "number has been disconnected" message, they'll keep calling and selling your number on to the next scam. For the record, I have my answering machine turned off and have not answered a single one of these calls since finding myself on the radar of every scam on the planet 3 years ago. I do keep a list of every single caller and start blocking as many as I can via both my Panasonic phone (20 number block limit) and my phone company (100 number block limit) as they get more aggressive.
This number calls me everyday multiple times saying that they are with bowman and associates. And if they don't hear from me I forfeit my rights to resolve the case at hand and they also give me a case number.
Agree with above posts. This is the worst in sheer aggravation since "Rachel" of the credit card scam. They have already called me twice this morning and it isn't even 9 a.m. Why can't someone shut them down?
