Just got this one on my (Rogers) Cell.
Tried to call back, the call would not go through.
I normally get maybe one spam call per month, but in the last few days there have been a bunch from the USA.
It looks like my name has been put into some caller list; as it happens, I did leave my number at a website last week - but since it was an ISC2 security organization, I figured it was safe.
Called me this afternoon. I pressed 1, spoke to an American-accented man, told him I'm on the DNC list, he said he's in America, it doesn't apply to them. I asked if he'd take me off their call list, he said no, & I said f**k you.
Same deal, only my service is with Telus and when I answered, they hung up without saying anyting... probably bit the hook of an automated find-out-when-they're-home first call. Area code is San Fran, and it looks like they're targeting Canadians.
I received this same number on my missed calls. I figured it was from the USA, and checking leads me once again to a victim hit list like this (which I appreciate).
I also appreciate the fact that from what I have read over the many many months, I am not the only one who has been screwed over time and again by the legalized white collar criminal kingpins know publicly as Bell Canada. Its no wonder they moved most if not all their operation that directly effect to public to Quebec. The crap they had been pulling off at the little guy's expense was so brazen to make even white Canadian trailer trash blush...so why not move it to the province that not even the sleeziest contest or promotion includes as eligible to participate in.
But as typical Canadians, we don't want to rock the boat. Nope, no Commission of Inquiry here. If Bell were to have done over the years in the USA what they did up here, their would have been a Congressional or Senate investigate committee long ago to shut this garbage down. Yep, Bell has tranformed "pushing the envelope" or "re-drawing the line in the sand" to a whole new art form.
