I received two calls on my answering machine today from 415-992-7547. Caller states if I or my attorney doesn't call back he has no choice but to wish me a happy life and law enforcement from my state will soon be at my door. When I tried to return his call to give back what he left for me, I only received a busy signal. I guess I have to stand in line to take my turn.
I will be contacting the authorities and the carrier, Level 3 Communications, LLC.
I identified this call type as "prank call" however that is not an accurate since it was nothing like one.
I received two calls yesterday on my answering machine from 415-992-7547. The caller states that if I or my attorney don't call back, then he has no choice but to wish me a happy life and that I should expect law enforcement officials from my state to be soon at my door. lol. This is most likely a debt collector calling random numbers, hoping to find someone who actually owes something to someone, then trying to trick you to pay, or make a partial payment over the the phone with a CC, to prevent further action. Of course, any payment will not go to whoever it really should go to. And again, probably 99% of the calls go to people who don't owe anything to anyone, like me! Best thing to do is not answer back.
My mother got the same call on 12/15/15 as many others have posted. A man with what sounded like an Indian or Middle Eastern accent left this message on her answering machine: "415-992-7547. I repeat - 415-992-7547. If you don't return the call, or in case I don't hear from your attorney, the only thing I can do is - wish you a happy life. A law enforcement team of your state will soon be at your doorstep." This same message was left twice within an hour, at 8:57 AM and 9:50 AM, ET. My sister answered a third call to Mom's number later in the day from the number 202-600-4268. My mother is elderly and was upset by these calls and their threatening tones - With recent events, who can blame her?
