COMWAVE is an alternative, I presume VOiP (at come stage),
long distance provider with good rates to South America, and
especially so to S.A. Cell Phones. I have used it much to
Patagonia, Columbia, successfully, and also to Zuerich, CF.
An oddity on using this long distance service: A busy phone
sometimes is reported as busy, but most often, the line simply
drops. I pay (in Canada) monthly by telephone banking.
There is a local number one calls to initiate long distance calls.
There are different plans, and the telemarker adapted rates
immediately when I said I need to phone S.A. often, and that
I especially wanted to avoid high rates on calls to a cell phone.
I am charged 1.9 cents/minute to a Patagonian Land Line and
8 cents per minute to a cell phone in Patagonia or Columbia.
Having used the service for 6 mo, I have no complaints for
the service I get. Others may find it different.

I just got that call. I think it is an india call. The caller on the other end sounded pakistani, spoke very little english and wanted to know if I have internet.
they claim they are windows support, it's an east india guy, who yelled at ,me when I said he was a telemarker and I hung up. they call me 2 times a day. How do I stop this?????
