For the past month I've been getting 5-6 calls a week. It's usually the same Indian guy giving a phoney name. Today it was Mathew Anderson. Yesterday it was Jeffrey Brown. Most of the time he says he's calling from Air Duct Cleaning Services but every now and then he changes it up.
I always ask for the company name, address and phone number and he always gives me a phone number that's made up. Today it was 905-481-0161 and the address was 3201 Eglinton Ave East, Toronto.
It doesn't matter that I tell him I'm reporting him which I've done. It doesn't matter that I tell him I'll never use his services so he's wasting his time calling me over and over again - it just simply doesn't stop.
Waste their time and cost them money. Go through with the call and tell them you will get your ducts cleaned. Tell them you moved half a year ago and give them a fake address (your local police stations or fire departments). Tell them that they called your office number and you are not happy with that and ask them to change your number to a fake one. If everyone does this you will waste their time, cost them money and embarrass the telemarketing firm, because whoever got the call will be lambasted by the guys who show up at the fake address.
I get these calls about every 2 weeks. I have threatened to report them to the Govt.'s "Do Not Call List" reporting (as my number is registered with them). Today I asked where they were calling from - no response. I asked for their phone # - again, no response. I am reporting them today!
Calls every night. I update them on the hockey game. Doesn't seem to be a manager, but my man Curtis (the guy this last time) tried to hang up but I wouldn't let him. He said he's look into it, but I said that tmro night when I get a call - I'm blaming him for it. Brutal.
