Oddly enough the call we revived from 416-362-9842 was very similar to the one bob's grandmother above had received 15 or so days ago. We revived a phone call from this individual posed to be "my cousin" from Poland. He asked for $10,000+ urgently that we could somehow send him through western union as he said to be in a dire financial situation. Having caller ID, and noticing that the behavior and even tone of voice expressed from this individual was unlike the one of my cousins- we saw its was a (416) number and could not have possibly been my cousin from poland as we had phoned him and he was at work and his whole family was in shock as he was is no "dire financial situation" at all. We called 911 and explained to a lady that we think we were almost victims of fraud and would like to speak with someone & report it, so she gave us a number that we called and reported this situation to. PLEASE REPORT YOUR OCCURRENCE IF U ARE A VICTIM BY CALLING 911 AND BE VERY CAUTIOUS.
They called me at 5:00 am. I don't care if you are a scam artist or a telemarketer... I have no problem saying "please remove my number from your call list"... but for the love of god, never call me at 5:00 am!
The guy left a message speaking in another language. It sounded like: "Das saus dubus OK dauses sarergoat." And then in english at the end, he faintly said "cheers"
Ceylon is another name for the Island of Lanka, now generally known as Sri Lanka. I think it predates Battlestar Galactica by a few centurions - I mean, centuries.
