Terry did work on my home many years ago (4 yrs ago), to this day, i still see his work!! from terrible plaster, shady electrical work (i got THAT fixed right away), venting, etc etc etc.
I lost a lot of money with this scam artist.

This gentleman did work for a family member. He wrote her an IOU (it's as good as the paper he wrote it on) he needed to borrow money to pay for supplies. Not only did all the work he did fall apart but his tradespeople threatened to be a lien on her property since they were never paid. He gave a lot of reasons why he couldn't finish the work (his mom and girlfriend died). Sad to say I think it was a huge lie. Needless to say he left her without a ceiling and the worst tile job I have ever seen! This family member was out several thousand dollars and had to spend extra money to get most of it corrected. Her tile work is still a mess but has no more money to fix it. I don't know how he sleeps at night ripping off a single woman like this!
I feel for your family member that went through this. It's a shame that the laws don't protect victims like us from people/companies like Terry. Even if you want to take him to court, not only will it cost you the money to hire a lawyer, but serving him the papers is almost impossible since he hides out at his lakeshore address (which is not his main address). And, if he's even still there.
