He may have passed out due to the excitement. The idea of 7 computers was like hitting the Trifecta of Scamming, they get their name in the "Scammer News" and a free goat. Too bad, passed out and lost the goat. The goat, however, is happy.
Has called twice today with the last call being 17 minutes ago. I called the number and get a "this number has been disconnected" message. There is no caller id name. Just shows as Everton, MO.
I got one of these calls several months ago. When they said there was a problem with my computer, I told him I didn't own a computer. So until today (magyar of evert) I haven't heard a word since. Maybe that's what everyone needs to say. LOL
417-535-4555 has been faithfully calling my home phone twice a day now for at least two weeks. Every morning around 11:40 and every evening around 5:30 I get the call and I just can't wait to answer it and say hello. A man, ALWAYS named either "David" or "John", who sounds as though he is from India always says the same thing: Yes, this is "David" your computer guy, do you remember me? And when I say no, my computer guy is a girl, he says, no, your computer guy from Windows, and I repeatedly tell him I have no computer guy from Windows. I let him get real stirred up as he says he has a rebate for me and needs my credit card number and then I say: Look, I have a call tracer on this line and the Federal Government is tracking you down as of this very minute. You are a scammer and you are getting close to being caught. Click, the phone goes dead. It is now 11:55 a.m. and I just got a call from "John" at Windows at 11:40 a.m.from Unknown Caller. The minute I picked up the phone and said hello, he said, hello, this is "John" your computer guy do you remember me? I said, isn't your name "David"? The Federal Government is almost at your door! He hung up without taking another breath! I have filed a formal complaint by way of the DoNotCall.gov web site, but in the meantime, I just keep collecting the times and dated of each and every call and what reports on my caller ID. I always answer and say the same thing~!!
They called today... Saturday afternoon at 1:37P. Thanks to all the complaints on this site, I knew better than to answer and be bothered with their possible scam. Now blocked with Call Sentry.
