This is a foreign guy calling my grandmother, telling her something is wrong with her computer. She has been scammed for hundreds of dollars from these callers. She has dementia and doesn't know any better. If anyone has an idea how I can get them blocked, please let me know.
Got a call today. CID showed: MAGYAR OF EVERT. This is a known scam. My suggestion: tell him you are a Microsoft district manager and ask him what his Microsoft ID Code is and you'll never have them call again. Or simply tell them you work for Apple and only use Mac computers.
Some dude with a heavy Indian accent wanted me to go to my computer and upload data and identification to him? He pretended we already had a conversation about it. It was clearly the exact kind of scam you read about all the time.
