Just as above, pretended to be from Microsoft. When I said I use Linux so it's funny to me that Microsoft called, he said "You sound weird. You sound like a female." I said, "YOU sound weird! You sound like a scammer!" He then threatened that "we can get into your computer. Just wait and see." And hung up.
This caller is obviously not using this number that displays, they are using a software that masks the real number. The real Jamey Banks is a 70 year old male from Missouri and unfortunately the scammer is using his number to mask where the REAL call is coming from which is probably India PLEASE do not fall for this BS. I am a retired police officer so right off the bat I know it was fake and once I called the caller a few choice words he started cursing at me (which did make me laugh and gave me some pleasure because I know I had gotten under his skin LOL) please talk to your relatives and family members warn them about these scams so these SCUMBAGS can get away with less !!!
This was the second fake Microsoft call I have gotten today. The first was from a 218 number. I told him that I spoke with the police (which wasn't true - yet) and that we would get a restraining order. He chuckled, and when I asked if something was funny, he hung up.
